Nyle Wolfe 'howls' again in Cork
INTERNATIONALLY acclaimed Cork-born baritone Nyle Wolfe is set to
return to home soil for a number of performances in his native city
over the coming weeks.
Fresh from the release of his latest album Home Ground, a collection
of Irish and American Celtic songs, Wolfe will play a solo gig at
the Cork Opera House on Friday, July 3.
He will take the lead role in the Cork Operatic Society's production
of Leonard Bernstein's Candide at the same venue which will run for
three nights from Thursday, July 16.
The production will also star fellow Corkonian, soprano Mary Hegarty,
who will play the role of Cunégonde. The cast will also included a
host of other wellknown faces including Des Manahan and Trevor Ryan,
supported an orchestra under the baton of conductor John O'Brien.
Tickets for Wolfe's solo concert cost €26, €28.50 and €31, with admission
to Candide priced at €21, €23 and €26. They are available from the
