KERRY ladies that were seeking a tuneful way of celebrating Women’s Christmas on Saturday night enjoyed a night out with a difference courtesy of a super performance by Irish tenor Anthony Kearns in the Brehon Hotel, Killarney.

Kearns has been part of the Irish Tenors phenomenon since its conception and as the only remaining original member, he is still wooing audiences throughout the world.

He returned to Kerry having just completed a three-week sold-out tour of the United States, where he proved himself as a specialist in everything from Irish ballads to operatic favourites. Along with producing over eight CD recordings and the renowned Ellis Island Tribute DVD with Martin Sheen, Kearns was recently acclaimed for his portrayal in the title role of Faust for Opera Ireland’s spring season in Dublin.

He is no stranger to Kerry audiences and has performed to full houses at the INEC with The Irish Tenors over the past number of years.

His long time friend and accompanist Patrick Healy joined him for the Killarney show.
