A festival of music will start tonight on RTE at 9.30pm when the Irish Tenors will begin a series of programmes.

As the entire world knows, the Irish Tenors are Anthony Kearns, Finbar Wright and the new voice with the group Karl Scully and for the next ten weeks they will introduce guests who have achieved fame and fortune for themselves in the world of music.

To begin the series, Brian Kennedy who is back in the country again after achieving 10th place in the Eurovision Song Competition. On the programme as well, will be Rebecca Storm who is known for the shows she has done, such as Blood Brothers and who now resides in Kildare.

And that is only the beginning of the musical gifts that will be seen during the programmes, produced by Mind the Gap films, amongst whom are famous musicians, apart from the tenors themselves, there will be Andrew Lloyd Weber, Hayley Westerna, Shayne Ward, Sharon Shannon, Paul Carrick, Peter Grant and Lucia Evans and Paul Bryon.

It is certain that these programmes with the Irish Tenors who have had 8 albums recorded in the past 7 years, will give a lot of people who want to avoid the soccer programmes a new outlet in the weeks ahead of us .
